Compass
About Us
Compass Seminars is a leading and dynamic provider of day long, professional development training for professionals working with children and young people. We offer seminars for the child and youth sector through out Australia and New Zealand. We offer the complete training experience, using the best training talent from throughout Australasia and beyond. We base our workshops at the best available venues and support them with a fantastic range of additional services including seminar notes, mouth watering catering, convenient parking, civilised finish times, and much much more. At all of our events we also offer a comprehensive bookshop relating to all our current topics. We search the world to find the most up to date and relevant resources and literature (see our Books & Resources page for more). For your convenience we offer EFTPOS, Credit Card and invoicing options at all of our events.
The management team at Compass are experienced clinicians from child and adolescent mental health services so you know that our training programme always deals with contemporary issues that are relevant to the workforce in this industry.

Ben Monaghan, Manager
Ben is the Manager for Compass Seminars in Australia. He manages and coordinates the operations of Compass and is instrumental in the development of new business.
Ben is familiar with the training needs of the child and youth sector as he has worked for 17 years as a clinician in Child & Youth Mental Health and in addition to his role with Compass he works with Mater Kids in Mind in Queensland.
Ben LOVES to travel and particularly has a softspot for Asia. Watch this space because if he gets his way we will no doubt be doing seminars there in the near future! Ben can be emailed directly at ben@compassaustralia.com.au

Craig McKenzie, Director
Craig is one of the Directors of Compass Seminars. With a background in Child and Adolescent Social Work, he has over seen the establishment of Compass Seminars Australia. Craigs key areas of responsibility are trainer recruitment, relationship management and helping out at some events.
Craig always prefers talking (about anything) to working so you can be sure he will be up for a chat if you call the office. He also makes a mean cup of coffee (not that this skill is always appreciated by others in the Compass office).
Craig can be contacted by emailing office@compassaustralia.com.au

Geraldine Knowles, Events Administrator
Gerry is one of our hard working administrators. Gerry joined us in 2012 following her return home from a number of years working in NSW. She is responsible for a range of activities including registration management, customer service, managing our website content and assisting with event preparation.
Gerry assures us that she has no quirky qualities that warrant being mentioned as part of this staff profile but we feel very strongly that there must be something so watch this space and as soon as we notice something, we will let you know.
Gerry can be contacted by emailing office@compassaustralia.com.au

Kate Littley, Administrator
Kate is involved with a range of tasks including some of the administration for Australian seminars.
Kate has previously worked and studied in the health sector before heading off for her big OE to the UK and Europe. She joined Compass upon her return from this adventure.
As one of the youngest personnel in our office (by a long way) she also occupies a key role as technical advisor to the other fossils in all matters to do with mobile phones and the interweb thingy.

Rosalind McKenzie, Finance Manager
Ros is our Finance Manager. She makes sure people get paid (including us).
Prior to joining Compass Ros worked as a clinician in Child & Adolescent Mental Health and also provided specialist consultation services to the education sector. This experience means that she also plays a central role in finalising seminar content to ensure it is relevant to our customers needs.
Ros likes a good cup of tea, well crafted shoes, and has a particular passion for New York City.

Jet, Office Cat and Rodent Control
Jet does nothing around the office that is of any value to anyone (unless you count sleeping on the photocopier and drinking from unwatched coffee cups as being important).
Jet does not have an email address because she can't read and has no fingers.
