Heather is a Counsellor, Sensory Educationalist and the Principal Convenor of the Resilience Clinic, based on the NSW Central Coast. She has nearly 10 years experience working alongside children, young people and families, parents and adults in the community and NSW Public Education. 

Heather holds a Grad. Diploma of Counselling, from Morling College (Sydney NSW) and has an extensive list of training and experience in trauma, mentoring, attachment, crisis intervention, mental health pastoral care, adoption, case management, Out Of Home Care, hospital and education chaplaincy, and research.  She also has a background in Workplace Assessment & Training, Courseware Development, Frontline Management and Business.

During the past 6+ years, Heather has researched, developed and implemented many social, behavioural and emotional enrichment programs for children, teens and families in the community sector and primary school education.

Heather has been facilitating the Resilience Doughnut for children, young people and adults for the past few years and more recently Connect 3 and the Resilience Report.

This course will be presented in practical, easy to understand every day language. PACE (Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity, Empathy) is a trauma informed practice especially beneficial for those caring for children who have had experienced loss, separation, anxiety or trauma in their lives.
