Practical Systemic Models and Methods with Clients and Stakeholders

This two-day workshop is designed to offer not only a thorough understanding of systemic concepts but also a highly practical approach to applying these techniques in clinical practice. It’s ideal for practitioners who want to boost their confidence in using systemic models and methods with clients and stakeholders.

The workshop will focus on practical application of systemic models - from role plays and video demonstrations to exercises, case studies, and group reflections - aimed at helping practitioners integrate systemic techniques into their everyday work. The interactive activities are designed to provide a step-by-step process for how to use these techniques effectively, ensuring participants feel confident in their ability to implement what is learned.

Participants will also receive concrete strategies for overcoming clinical challenges and tips for getting unstuck when working with complex cases. This workshop aims to assist participants in building their systemic integrative framework, tailoring approaches to clinical practice and work with stakeholders in a way that feels both structured and flexible. The workshop assumes some foundational knowledge of systemic practice.

Specifically, the workshop will cover:

A refresher of systemic concepts
Introduction to a systemic integrative meta-framework tool
A review of different systemic family therapy schools
Practical application of different systemic techniques in client and stakeholder work
Tips for finding manoeuvrability and getting unstuck

Audience: for mental health and other professionals that apply behavioural/developmental/neuro-science and systemic thinking to their practice.
